From CMU to Rising Damp917 Center Oak DrivePittsburgh PA 15237-6109 412 367 8544 Leave the Newell-Simon parking lot north towards Forbes, Turn right (East) on Forbes. Be in left lane as soon as practicable Turn left onto Morewood. North on Morewood to Baum. Left onto Baum to tee with North Craig near the luxury car dealer. Right (North) on North Craig and follow it around as it curves left and becomes Bigelow Blvd. West on Bigelow past the cliffs on your left, until the right lane merge exit (to 6th I think it says). You should be able to see the arena on your left, and exit into the downtown area. At the bottom of the ramp, traffic will be coming from your right and behind and trying to weave. Folks are generally polite. Bear left to light at Bigelow or 6th or maybe they call it Ross, Craft, Chatham, or Centre. Street names change randomly in Pgh. Signs might indicate the way to Mellon Arena. Turn left onto bridge, then left at the arena light. That is the ramp to I-579 & I-279 Merge onto 279 on the left. I dont recommend the HOV lane, because getting the correct exit is tricky. North on I-279 for 2.7 miles. Merge onto McKnight Road offramp. Be aware of those who are lost and confused. Bear left on the ramp to McKnight, and after entering McKnight, seek the left lane to avoid the sometimes chaotic Ivory Road intersection. North on McKnight for 7 miles. East Arcadia works, and Greg knows how, or . . . Signs for North Park, Yellow Belt, Ingomar warn of the ramp. Exit onto Ingomar and stop at sign Turn right onto Saratoga, then immediately left onto Center Oak. --each turn is just a few car lengths. Up Center Oak (do not go down Golden Oaks Lane), curve right, curve left, curve right, top of hill. Just after intersection with Anderson, turn left into my driveway. Go slowly over lip. |
